Tips to Avoid Burnout

This online course is designed for people dealing with stressful situations to examine effective strategies to avoid burnout. How do we stay well while supporting people who need emotional care? This interactive workshop will explore tools, engage in activities, and discussions that will help mental health providers build up their wellness and resilience and avoid burnout. Burnout can happen to anyone routinely exposed to high levels of stress, whether work-related or not. Feeling exhausted, depressed, lonely or isolated? These may be signs that you are experiencing burnout. Join us for this exploratory workshop to learn steps to avoid burnout or heal from it now.  

Learning Objectives:

• Define burnout.

• Recognize at least 6 common and 2 uncommon signs of burnout.

• List at least 3 tools to minimize burnout in the workplace.

Time: Live online sessions will be 6 total hours.

Requirements: Participants need access to computers with internet access and video capabilities. Reading materials, online discussions, questions and life work assignments will be required throughout this course. The online sessions need to be secured so arriving on-time is critical. Full participation is required for the full certificate at the end of the course.
