Rosalind’s foray into the much misunderstood world of mental health recovery started with an opportunity to work as a Peer Support Specialist with the Singapore Association for Mental Health since 2014. She has conducted many peer support group meetings and recovery training and workshop to help people developed insights to understand their sufferings that led to self realization and healing.
In the course of her busy work schedule, Rosalind also helped peers in the community to embark on their own paths to independence and stay out of hospitals and psychiatric institutions. Having personally struggled with mental challenges, she has been able to connect empathetically with clients and she regularly shares
her personal story to groups and individuals undergoing psychiatric recovery to offer hope as they begin their journey of healing. She also helped establish and facilitate ongoing peer groups and activities through Psalt Care Limited (A Consumer Operated Service Provider in Singapore) initiating a growing support community in wellness and meaningful living.
Through overcoming all her challenges in life, Rosalind firmly believes there is hope for recovery from any form of mental illness. Her arduous journey has also enabled her to re-evaluate her life priorities, and opened her eyes to value things that count, such as personal growth, spiritual awareness and interpersonal relationships.
